When her brother decides to ditch for a couple weeks in London, Viola heads over to his elite boarding school, disguises herself as him, and proceeds to fall for one of her soccer teammates. Storyline Here's the thing! Viola's soccer team at Cornwall gets cut. She wants to join the boys team, but they do not allow girls. So she thinks "If you can't join them, beat them". So she does! She disguises herself as her twin brother Sebastian, and goes out for the rival school, Illyria, boys' soccer team and makes it. Unfortunately, she didn't plan falling in love with her roommate Duke. But Duke has his eyes on Olivia. What makes matters worse is that Olivia starts to fall for Sebastian because he/she has a sensitive side. If things couldn't get more problematic, the real Sebastian (who was in London working on his music) comes home early. He arrives on campus and has no clue that he was replaced by his twin sister.

Did You Know?
On Viola's first day at Illyria, there is a sign for the school's play entitled "What You Will" which not coincidentally is the subtitle for the Shakespearian play upon which this film is based
When Sebastian calls Monique and leaves her a message claiming they need to talk, he says "i was thinking and, we really need to talk." later on when Monique listens to the message we hear the whole thing and he never says "and" once.
Oh! She shoots, she scores! Goal!
I just took my 11 year old daughter and 8 year old son to this movie
and I can't remember a movie where I laughed SO hard -- literal out
loud, deep bursts of laughter because this movie is hilarious. Granted
the story line is predictable but the ride is so extremely enjoyable it
doesn't matter that you know how it's going to end. The actors' comedic
senses of timing were impeccable. The actors were perfectly cast. My
children mentioned that Amanda Bynes seems to be the last of the young
women actresses who aren't ruining their lives. She is so refreshing.
My children said this is now their favorite movie of 2006. Our money
was well spent on this movie.
